Trusted Community Leaders and Partners,

Better 4 You Meals has prepackaged meals ready to go out to the community today! But we need your help and we need it now!

Better 4 You Meals is one of California’s leading providers of prepackaged and fully cooked meals, typically supporting over 55,000 PreK-12th grade students and 65+ seniors every single day.  With schools and centers closed throughout the state, the way we typically get our food in the hands of kids and seniors has been disrupted.

We have quickly and strategically realigned our operations and are set up to support our communities by providing food to those who most desperately need in this challenging time.

B4YM is in position to provide over 50k breakfast and 50k lunches daily throughout California.  Meals are fully cooked, individually sealed, and meet all the nutritional guidelines set forth by the USDA.

  • The meals can be easily delivered to schools, parks, or other areas that can serve as a community food distribution hub.
  • They are fully cooked but at refrigerated or room temp.
  • Ideal to be heated at home in a microwave or oven.
  • An entire day’s worth of food can be given out in one pick-up, ideally via a drive thru setup – Breakfast, lunch, snack, and milk.

For school districts, nonprofits, and public agencies, the USDA has lifted many rules to allow for safe and regular food distribution.  The reimbursement funding for these meals has been guaranteed by the USDA and ALL kids 18 and under can be served, regardless of enrollment status.

But the need for more sites to step up is so great right now!  And we need you to think of what key partners that you know, are an ideal fit to collaborate with B4YM.

Some ideal partners for B4YM are:

  • School Districts, Charter Schools, private schools, or community centers approved to operate State or Federal lunch and food programs
  • Sites or centers that support age 65 and older under Title III C1 and C2 Programs
  • Local Governments, public agencies, or nonprofits with private funding to purchase bulk meals for distribution

B4YM planned and mobilized this past week so aggressively that we are already in the process of delivering 35k meals today.  But we can do more with your help!

There is no food shortage – just a shortage of means to getting it to the people most vulnerable in this crisis.  We refuse to accept that as our new reality and we know you won’t either.  Who do you know that can help us get food out to the community?   Please call us, please forward this email, or please share it on your social media.  Who you know may be a bigger help than you ever knew!

Also, if you directly know of families in need, please refer them to our website with listings of current community food hubs.  Thank you for your time and know that your consideration here is going to impact thousands of families across the State.

Ways to reach B4YM:

  1. Email to info@better4youmeals and get a response within 4hrs
  2. Call 323.838.5555 and ask for Steven Holguin or Robert Camarena

Respectfully,
